New Orleans
It has been 5 years since Hurricane Katrina, and here's a photo that shows NO is
still in a state of recovery.
However. after undergoing the most devastating natural disaster in U.S. history, New
Orleans was a city of pride, enthusiasm for life, endless hospitality, and architecturally
amazing.
Peugeot
It was time to retire the Scwhinn Varsity and I was able to finish building this single
speed over the weekend. Thanks to Melissa for hooking it up with this beautiful
Peugeot frame. Definitely can't wait until Spring time.
Deep Dish
Zachary's in Oakland/Berkeley is by far the best place to get a deep dish style pizza.
This picture absolutely does no justice at all.
Engineered Garments
I picked up these amazing thin pinstripe pants by Engineered Garments awhile ago, but
unfortunately the cut is a little short for me. I was thinking of cutting them into shorts,
but they fetch a good amount on ebay. I love Engineered Garments so ill be on the
look out for more.
Ann Demeulemeester
I purchased these shoes for Diana by, Ann Demeulemeester. She continues to be one
of our favorite designers, especially with shoes! We found these at a price we definitely
could not walk away from.
Gap SF
for work during the rainy weather.
I picked this Barry McGee x SFMOMA shirt up for Diana at Gap downtown during MLK
weekend. Weeks before, I actually ran into Barry during my lunch break and he said he was
working on a project with the SFMOMA for their 75th year anniversary celebration. My
brother brought it to my attention that they will be carrying his shirt along with a few others
at Gap SF.
Angeline's
Finally had the opportunity to check out Angeline's Louisiana Kitchen on Shattuck in
Berkeley tonight. Of course I had to try the fried chicken smothered in a tasso ham
cream gravy and sweet potato mash. Not bad at all.

The Egg Shop
My brother took us to the Egg Shop in Montclair Village in Oakland. I had the most
delicious apple sausage omelet there.
Converse x Nom De Guerre
One of my favorite Converse collaboration is the one with Nom De Guerre for the
(Product) Red Campaign. These were done on the Jack Purcell model in 2007.

The hardwood floor at our new apt. is going to be the perfect background for most of
this junk.
In keeping with the tradition, Diana bought me another Moleskine planner for the new
year, these things keep my life well organized and on my toes. They are beautiful as well.
James Jarvis
Diana bought this for me over the weekend. "Selected Drawings," by one of my favorite
artists, James Jarvis.

My brother was able to pick me up a pair of Vintage Chinos and 2 Oxford Shirts, by my
favorite store for basics, Uniqlo.
Bake Sale
One of my favorite places to eat in Oakland/Berkeley is at Bake Sale Betty's. They are
famous for their fried chicken sandwich, which I am gradually building an addiction to.
Mitsuaki Iwago (Atmos x Porter)
I picked up this small pouch by Porter collaboration with Atmos and photographer
Mitsuaki Iwago (National Geographic) for Diana over a year ago. I thought this would
be perfect since we both love National Geographic and Penguins.
Ari Marcopoulos
Diana and I were lucky enough to visit Ari's exhibit, "Within Arm's Reach," at the
Berkeley Art Museum. We were able to catch him in "Conversation" with Keith Hufnagel,
Barry McGee, and Fred Brathwaite (Fab 5 Freddy) as they conversed about life, music,
and art in NYC circa 1980 and 1990. It was great to hear Ari speak about some of the
portraits in his exhibit prior to browsing through it. It definitely opened my eyes to how
differently "street" culture has CHANGED over the decades.
"D.F.W" Ray Fong
I was fortunate to get this signed by Barry McGee over the weekend. This is Raymond
Fong's book titled, "D.F.W." and published by P.A.M. 2008
First Edition of 1000.
Grape Stomp 5K
Diana and I ran our first 5K marathon in Livermore this past weekend. I am looking
forward to more and to definitely upgrade the distance.
Baracuta
Unfortunately, I just gotten rid of this jacket. A G9 Harrington Jacket by England's
Baracuta collaboration with Stussy from 2006. A truly classic piece.
Play
I originally intended to buy these Play by Comme De Garcons x Converse sneakers
only for Diana, but impulsively decided that I should grab a pair as well.
White Shirts
I always wait to see what company Supreme collaborates with next and since I have
been wearing nothing but plain tees all year this joint with Hanes was definitely an easy
purchase. The packaging is wonderful on this too.
Personal Effects
My brother and Melissa were kind enough to get me Hiroshi Fugiwara's book,
"Personal Effects," for my birthday.
Splash Cafe
Last weekend we had the chance to drop by Splash Cafe in Pismo Beach to try their
award winning clam chowder. It is by far the best clam chowder I have experienced.
Neighborhood (Blank)
Recently picked up this Supreme x Neighborhood hoody this month. I thought I could
use a thick, basic, sweater for this coming Fall. This was the blank used and does not
have the embroidery on it.
Comey
I realized I haven't been posting some of the unique gems we've found Diana this past
year. Here are some beautiful Rachel Comey wedges that I've been convincing her not
to sell.
Wing Tip
Another collaboration with W)taps for the Vans Syndicate line. This model called,
"The Rudeez," is probably one of the better W)tap models since the chukka from the
first run.
Containers
Today, I picked up these 2 cute containers. I was so excited to use them already for
the milk and orange juice.
